Calculate Your Earliest Test Date!

You Have Your Date. Now What?

At-home pregnancy tests have come a long way in recent years. As one advert puts it, “It’s the most sophisticated piece of technology you will ever pee on.”

The tests are very accurate (up to 99.9% in fact) as long as they’re used at the right time. The accuracy, and your earliest test date depend on the brand and the timing of your test. We recommend First Response Pregnancy Tests. They haven’t steered us wrong yet. šŸ™‚

It’s important to remember though, because of the nature of early pregnancy tests, they can sometimes yield a false negative if taken too early. Pregnancy tests can be used as early as six days before your missed period, but they become more accurate as the level of HCG (the hormone that at-home pregnancy tests detect and measure) in your urine increases.

If you enter your information into our early pregnancy test calculator and receive a test date of September 15th, you can test on that date and feel confident in a positiveĀ result. However, a negative result at this stage is not only more likely, but there is a higher chance of that result being incorrect. So, if you test on your earliest date and receive a negative result, test again in 4-6 days to make absolutely certain of the negative result.
